FoodTechBiz Desk

The Carlsberg Group has reaffirmed its commitment to Nepal by announcing a significant investment of ₹10 billion to expand the operations of Gorkha Brewery, marking a major milestone in the company’s growth strategy in the region.

Highlighting Nepal as a key strategic priority, the investment is expected to create more than 1,000 direct employment opportunities, while also supporting a substantial number of indirect jobs across the value chain. The expansion will further strengthen Carlsberg’s local manufacturing and distribution capabilities.

Since acquiring full ownership of its Nepal business in 2024, the company has witnessed strong momentum, driven by consistent growth in both mainstream and premium beer segments. The flagship local brand, Gorkha, continues to maintain its position as the leading beer brand among consumers across the country.

With this investment, Carlsberg Group aims to deepen its presence in one of its most dynamic and promising markets, reinforcing its long-term commitment to Nepal’s economic growth and development.
