From the farms of Indi, Vijayapura to the shores of UAE!

In a landmark development for Indian agriculture and agri-exports, 3 metric tonnes (MT) of GI-tagged Indi Lime from Vijayapura, Karnataka, have been successfully shipped to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This first-of-its-kind export initiative was led by Culveda Greentech, a farmer-turned-entrepreneur-driven enterprise.

The Geographical Indication (GI) certification on Indi Lime underscores its unique regional identity, superior quality, and distinct flavor, positioning it strongly in global markets. This milestone is expected to enhance farmer incomes, create international recognition for Indi Lime, and set the stage for greater penetration of GI-certified products worldwide.

By aligning traditional cultivation practices with modern trade opportunities, this export marks a significant step toward transforming rural economies and establishing India as a reliable supplier of premium agri-produce.
