India has marked a new milestone in processed food exports with the first shipment of 6.5 MT of flavored instant iced tea premix to France, valued at approximately USD 7,000, according to the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).

The shipment marks the entry of an Indian food-processing product into a new international market and highlights the growing potential of MSMEs in India’s processed food sector to expand their presence globally.

The export to France also reflects the opportunities available for Indian food-processing companies to serve international markets that follow stringent quality and regulatory requirements.

According to APEDA, the first shipment represents an important step towards expanding India’s processed food exports and creating opportunities for Indian businesses in new overseas markets.

The development is expected to encourage further shipments and strengthen India’s position in the global market for processed food and beverage products.
