METTLER -TOLEDO announces the worldwide launch of the Rainin Vero electronic pipettes , presented simultaneously in Brazil, Europe, and the United States. Starting in February of this year, the equipment will be available in the Brazilian market, expanding the company's portfolio with a high-precision solution aimed at the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology, Scientific Research, Academic, Healthcare, Diagnostic, and general Industrial sectors, especially the pharmaceutical, genetics and biochemical , cosmetic, and food segments.
Developed to meet the growing demands for reliability and reproducibility in laboratory environments, the Vero stands out for its four main pillars: precision, ergonomics, speed of navigation, and battery life. "This is an electronic pipette that guarantees consistent results regardless of the technique or the operator's experience," says Sérgio Garcia, Rainin sales manager in Brazil for METTLER-TOLEDO.
Garcia explains that the main benefit of electronic pipettes is the elimination of human variables from the pipetting process. “With Vero, the aspirated and dispensed volume is always the same, isolating potential operational errors and ensuring maximum precision at every stage of the work. The final result is independent of the operator's skill, which increases data reliability and process standardization,” he emphasizes.
According to Garcia, the Vero is recognized as one of the most precise and lightweight electronic pipettes on the market, combining high performance with comfort for the operator in daily use. "The lightweight and ergonomic design allows operation with either the thumb or index finger, significantly reducing hand strain, even during intensive pipetting routines."
Another key feature is the Vero's battery life, designed to keep up with the demands of high-volume laboratories. A full recharge takes 90 minutes, but just ten minutes of charging provides up to an hour of operation. "A full charge allows for approximately 2,800 pipetting cycles, which is equivalent to 12 to 24 hours of continuous operation, ensuring productivity and fewer interruptions," assures Garcia.
Pipetting Modes - Vero offers different pipetting modes, which expand the versatility of the equipment and meet various laboratory applications. The Basic mode allows operation with a single volume and aspiration and dispensing speed defined by the user. The Advanced mode provides all the sophisticated pipetting functions, including mixing. The Multi-Dispensing mode allows dispensing multiple aliquots with adjustable manual or automatic intervals, optimizing repetitive processes. The Manual mode offers joystick control, simulating the operation of a manual pipette, while the Inverse mode is indicated for handling dense or volatile liquids.
Designed to reduce operational risks, Vero allows the operator to easily create, save, and switch protocols, optimizing repetitive tasks and minimizing the occurrence of errors. "The carefully developed interface prevents accidental changes to settings or pipetting actions, ensuring greater safety and reliability in the results," Garcia emphasizes.
The equipment also contributes to a lower risk of non-compliance, making it especially suitable for regulated laboratories. Vero features resources such as password protection, accessible service logs, and maintenance interval alarms, as well as the ability to block Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reducing deviations and facilitating audits.
Another key difference, according to Garcia, is the consistent seal provided by the Rainin LTS® LiteTouch® System, which creates a perfect seal with each use, without the need for rocking or manual tightening. "This technology ensures consistent sample collection in all channels, directly contributing to the accuracy and reproducibility of the tests," he explains.
METTLER-TOLEDO has a complete line of pipettes, as well as a team dedicated exclusively to this category, offering specialized technical support and solutions aligned with the needs of highly regulated markets, such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and biotechnology and biofabrication companies.
With the launch of Vero, METTLER-TOLEDO consolidates its position as a global benchmark in precision instruments, bringing to the Brazilian market a technology that combines innovation, reliability, safety and ergonomics to raise the standard of electronic pipetting.
