Tetra Pak supports Vinícola Aurora with solutions and services that increase operational efficiency

FoodTechBiz Desk

Tetra Pak, a world leader in food and beverage processing and packaging solutions, reaffirms its position as the ideal partner for the industry, offering solutions, insights , and services that promote continuous improvement in its customers' production. This was precisely the case at Vinícola Aurora, which, in addition to using Tetra Pak packaging for juices and wine, adopted the Parts Control solution three years ago , combining expertise with technology and the organization of physical spaces for greater production efficiency.

The partnership between Tetra Pak and Vinícola Aurora was consolidated in 2022, when the juice producer began using the cartons for packaging its juices – a format that, for consumers, combines practicality, preservation and convenience in everyday life and, in production, offers a more efficient and sustainable solution from processing to packaging.

Today, carton packaging accounts for approximately 70% of all juice bottling at Vinícola Aurora. The growth of this option mirrors the company's production increase: in May 2026 alone, there was an increase of 4 million liters of processed juice – or more than 2.5 million cartons – compared to the same period last year.

In addition to its widely accepted format among consumers, Tetra Pak packaging also means gains in production and logistics efficiency: the use of these packages allows for a 77% saving of space compared to pre-assembled packaging and has contributed to a reduction of more than 2,600 tons of CO₂ in its transport.

“Since the beginning of this partnership, Tetra Pak packaging has brought us gains in different aspects, evidenced by the growth of our production. The packaging contributes to our sustainability strategy, as it contains up to 70% renewable content and allows for more efficient logistics. Furthermore, with the pure juice packaged in Tetra Pak containers, we have also kept pace with the growing demand for healthier options, as consumers increasingly seek more natural products with a higher concentration of fruit,” says Rodrigo Arpini Valerio, Marketing and Sales Director of Vinícola Aurora.

Parts Control: efficiency and organization in production

The partnership yielded good results, and the collaboration between the companies also extended to the area of services. Starting in 2023, Vinícola Aurora adopted the Parts Control service offered by Tetra Pak, which is now in its third consecutive year of contract renewal.

Renzo Perazzolo, Director of Services at Tetra Pak Brazil, explains: “When we studied production at Vinícola Aurora, we identified the possibility of bringing them more efficiency with Parts Control. This is a solution whose objective is to manage and organize spare parts and facilitate access to them. With this, we help our partners reduce waste and ensure the operational continuity of the factory, which positively impacts the TCO, or Total Cost of Ownership.”

After presenting the idea to Vinícola Aurora, Tetra Pak evaluated information from the last few months of operation to understand consumption and specific production needs. In addition, it also studied the producer's inventory based on several key areas, such as equipment, strategic inventory management, operational and administrative processes, tools for control systems, and physical organization of the warehouse. With the data obtained from the analysis, Tetra Pak suggested the most efficient approach for the case.

For Vinícola Aurora, 520 drawers were implemented for storing spare parts inventory. After the installation of this physical space, the parts were labeled, classified, and stored to facilitate access and preservation. Finally, all the information was also added to the software offered to the client by Tetra Pak, which can be accessed from a cell phone or tablet at any time.

The use of technology acts as the finishing touch to this entire structure, making it possible to find the necessary part in just a few minutes through real-time tracking. The integration between the physical space and the system is essential to keep the information up-to-date. Furthermore, by recording the departure of parts, it's possible to control the need to place new orders, specifying how many and which parts are needed.

“Parts Control has been essential to our production today. Where searching for parts used to take up to 30 minutes, we now find them in just five. We have also reduced maintenance time at our factory by 50%. In addition, we have a resident technician who helps us with maintenance and even employee training, and digitally, we can count on Tetra Pak 24 hours a day, seven days a week for our requests,” said Jeferson Caetano de Morais, Maintenance Leader at Vinícola Aurora.

The results contributed to the expansion of this partnership: now, in 2026, with the help of Tetra Pak, Vinícola Aurora has begun to meet a new market demand, launching its traditional Sangue de Boi wine in carton packaging, available in 750 ml. Combining tradition and innovation, the wine in the Tetra Pak carton brings consumers a nationally recognized brand in a more practical, modern package aligned with current consumption needs. This latest initiative reinforces how the combination of technology, operational efficiency, and packaging innovation offered by Tetra Pak has supported Vinícola Aurora in expanding its portfolio and meeting new consumer demands.
