The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), in collaboration with the Embassy of India, Moscow, successfully organized an International Buyer-Seller Meet (IBSM) in Moscow on 10 February 2025. The event aimed to promote the export of bananas, groundnuts, and processed food products from India to the Russian market.

The IBSM served as a strategic platform to showcase India's premium agricultural and processed food products, fostering new trade opportunities and strengthening global partnerships.

The event saw participation from 22 Indian exporters and exhibitors, who presented a diverse range of products, including fresh fruits, groundnuts, and value-added banana products. Over 40 importers and buyers from across Russia attended the event, alongside key stakeholders such as logistics service providers, banks, and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce.

A highlight of the event was the display of Geographical Indication (GI) varieties of Indian bananas, including Nanjanagud Rasbale, Yelakki, Kamalapur Red, Robusta, and Cavendish G9—renowned for their rich taste and superior quality.

This initiative marks a significant step towards expanding India’s agri-export footprint, strengthening trade relations, and bringing India's rich agricultural heritage and diverse flavors to global markets.
