Balocco brings Made in Italy to Gulfood in Dubai

FoodTechBiz Desk

Balocco, a leading brand in the Italian domestic markets for breakfast biscuits and seasonal baked goods, is taking part in the 2026 edition of Gulfood. The leading food & beverage event, held between the Dubai World Trade Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre, brings together thousands of professionals from the global food industry.

Participation in this prestigious showcase, hosting thousands of exhibitors, represents a strategic step for Balocco in consolidating its presence in the Middle East and tapping into emerging global market trends. Today, exports account for 13% of the company’s total turnover, with distribution reaching over 70 countries worldwide.

At stand 19-68, Hall 3, block 6, Balocco presents a selection of products designed for international markets. Taking centre stage is the export-oriented wafer range, now enriched with a new flavour featuring Sicilian lemon cream, alongside the classic cocoa, hazelnut and vanilla varieties. This product is the result of a combination of carefully selected high-quality raw materials, recipes refined over time and advanced technological solutions, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation.

"Participating in Gulfood 2026 represents a strategic opportunity for us,” says Andrea Granato - Export Director of Balocco SpA. “Our primary objective is to strengthen the presence of the Balocco brand in the Middle Eastern market, a crucial hub for global expansion. We aim not only to bring the excellence of Made in Italy to this region, but also to establish new distribution partnerships that enhance the unique quality of our confectionery offering.”
