Exotic Fruit Wines & Mead - Masterclass by Priyanka Save & Deepak Bhatnagar of Hill Zill Wines at Vinexpo India

Vinexpo, a B2B event happening for the first time in India to connect producers worldwide with the distributors and retail players in the market with strong potential. The event is taking place from 9 to 11 December 2021 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Priyanka Save, founder/Director and Deepak Bhatnagar, chief executive officer of Hill Zill Wines, conducted a Masterclass titled ‘Exotic Fruit Wines & Mead’ on 10 December. During the Masterclass, Save discussed various aspects of – Producing fruit wines; the technical details of manufacturing fruit wine; how other fruits can be used to make wines and commercialize it; Why is this a lucrative option; How farming can be utilized in this segment, why we need to look beyond grapes; and the making of meads in India. Masterclass also included tasting of Fruzzante Fruit Wines and Arkä Meads. Deepak Bhatnagar shared aspects of fruit wines’ sales; and its market acceptance.

In 2016 and early 2017, Hill Zill Wines (HZWPL) officially launched Fruzzanté its Sparkling Alcoholic Beverage In the market. They have a full-fledged winery, which also happens to be the first-of-its-kind to produce alcoholic beverages from Sapota (commercially known as Chikoo fruit). Post which they now have added more fruit beverages to their portfolio like Pineapple, Strawberry, Starfruit, Mango and soon to be launched Orange Fruzzanté. Apart from Fruzzanté brand they also have a premium range mead Arkä. Arkä has three flavors in their range Wildflower, Jamun and Rose. Today, Fruzzanté has one of the most varied and comprehensive ranges of 100% Sparkling fruit alcoholic beverages in the market. The only brand producing gluten-free and vegan alcoholic beverages through traditional techniques brings life to the Farm to bottle together. Tastings and tours are also conducted at their boutique winery sited in the hilly hamlet of Brahmangaon, Bordi, on the outskirts of Maharashtra.
