From May 18 to 22, 2025, IREKS Brasil will be present at IBA 2025 , the largest and most relevant international bakery, confectionery and snacks fair, held every three years in Germany. With more than a thousand exhibitors from 46 countries and an audience of over 57 thousand professionals, the event is considered the world’s great stage for trends and innovations that shape the future of the food industry.

Present in Brazil since 2004, IREKS Brasil is a joint venture between the century-old IREKS GmbH, from Germany, and the Cooperativa Agrária Agroindustrial, headquartered in Entre Rios, Paraná. With production certified by FSSC 22000 — the main international food safety standard — the company has become a national reference in ingredients for bakery and confectionery, providing tailor-made solutions for bakeries, supermarket chains and large industries.

The IREKS stand, one of the most traditional and visited at the fair, will be divided into three thematic areas — Food Moments, Tastes of the World and Plant-Based — and will focus on launches that explore special fermentations, new ingredients and sustainable solutions. Although the products can only be officially announced during the fair, the company anticipates live demonstrations, tastings and the operation of a bakery inside the stand, where visitors will be able to experience the technical and sensory differences of its formulations.

“IREKS Brazil’s presence at IBA 2025 not only reinforces our direct connection with the most innovative developments in the global sector, but also consolidates Brazil’s role as a strategic hub within the group. Today, we are IREKS’ seventh largest operation in the world and a reference in product development for the Latin American market,” says Darcy Holanda Mendes , Marketing and Sales Director at IREKS Brazil, who will be available for interviews during the event.

In addition to its institutional participation in the fair, IREKS Brasil will also bring a group of more than 30 clients from all over the country to visit its headquarters in Kulmbach and participate in the IBA program, strengthening ties and sharing global trends directly with the national market. This immersion is part of a strategy that, over the last 20 years, has taken more than 150 Brazilian clients on international experiences — a movement that has generated proven gains in business growth and knowledge exchange in technology and innovation.

IREKS’ participation in IBA comes at a time of expansion at its Brazilian unit, which is increasing its storage capacity by 50% and expanding production, especially to meet the growing demand in the bakery segment. Aligned with ESG pillars, IREKS’ factory in Brazil also stands out for the pioneering installation of a solar energy system with 988 panels and 440 kW of power, in addition to sustainable industrial practices, traceability and regional development.

With a portfolio increasingly focused on health, natural ingredients and high-performance fermentation processes, IREKS seeks to combine tradition and innovation with purpose. “More than selling ingredients, we deliver complete solutions. Our difference lies in actively listening to our customers’ challenges and in our ability to respond with technology, creativity and in-depth knowledge of the sector”, adds Mendes.

IBA 2025 will also feature side events such as the UIBC Cup of Bakers , live international bakery competitions and an area dedicated to startups that are transforming the sector. The trade show, which will be hosted this year in Düsseldorf, is expected to further expand its reach as a business and innovation hub for the global bakery industry.
