At the recently concluded ANUGA FoodTec India 2025, Technofour Electronics reaffirmed its leadership in the product inspection space by unveiling a suite of cutting-edge, customized solutions for the food and allied industries. In a detailed conversation, Aniket Nanajkar, CEO of Technofour Electronics Pvt Ltd, shared insights into the company’s technological evolution, innovation roadmap, and the strategic significance of participating in one of India’s premier food tech platforms.

Over five decades of innovation and excellence

Founded in 1972 by IIT Bombay graduates, Technofour Electronics Pvt ltd has evolved into a technology-first organization with a specialized focus on product inspection systems.

“Our core business has always been inspection—be it metal detection, dynamic checkweighers, or X-ray inspection systems,” shared Nanajkar. “Recently, we have added smart belt color sorters to our portfolio, catering to diverse sectors including food, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, and other allied industries.”

Technofour’s systems ensure product safety and compliance across every stage of production—from raw material intake to final packaging (primary, secondary, or tertiary). Their robust inspection mechanisms aim to eliminate foreign materials and protect brand integrity.

Strategic presence at ANUGA FoodTec India 2025

Technofour has been a regular exhibitor at ANUGA FoodTec India for over a decade. According to Nanajkar, the exhibition is an invaluable platform to both connect with existing customers and engage with new prospects.

“Firstly, we get to understand what improvements our current users are looking for. Secondly, we gather insights into the expectations and pain points of potential customers dealing with current technologies,” he explained.

Nanajkar also praised the event’s high-quality footfall, saying, “The exhibition attracts serious buyers, and that makes interactions far more meaningful.” Despite rainy weather on day one, the team saw a surge in visitors on subsequent days. “There was heavy rain initially, and footfall was slightly low, but the second day saw a much better response.”

Technofour exhibited its full range of inspection solutions in a 36-square-meter booth, thoughtfully designed with layouts to accommodate its longer machinery. “We usually choose booths on the extreme left or right for better space utilization,” Nanajkar added.

Delivering safety, compliance, and peace of mind

On the role Technofour plays in food safety, Nanajkar emphasized, “Product safety is non-negotiable. Consumers must receive contamination-free products. That’s where we come in.”

He cited a relatable example, “If a packet of Lay’s chips gets contaminated during processing, our system detects and removes it. The consumer only receives a safe, clean product.”

Customized solutions: The Technofour advantage

In a market crowded with inspection system providers, Technofour stands out through its customization-first approach.

“We don’t offer off-the-shelf products. We analyze the customer’s needs, assess their product nature, and then customize our electronic and mechanical systems accordingly,” said Nanajkar.

This strategy has resulted in a 99.9% customer retention rate, with some clients working with Technofour since 1982.

“We ensure our machines work 100% at the customer’s site and offer full service support to maximize uptime.”

A legacy of firsts in Indian R&D

Technofour prides itself on being a completely indigenous technology provider with a deep R&D backbone.

“Our name says it all—we are a technology-driven company,” said Nanajkar. “We have consistently led the market with industry firsts in India:

  • India’s first metal detector in 1982

  • India’s first dynamic checkweigher in 2000

  • India’s first X-ray inspection system in 2014

Despite being 100% made in India, Nanajkar asserted that their systems match or exceed global standards, “There is zero compromise. Our machines are indigenous, but technologically on par with any international offering.”

Overcoming market challenges: The ‘Made in India’ perception

Even with strong technical credentials, companies like Technofour sometimes encounter perception challenges in the market.

“Many still equate quality with international origin labels,” Nanajkar noted. “Our experience has shown that what truly matters is performance, reliability, and service. We have consistently demonstrated that Indian-engineered systems can meet and even surpass global benchmarks.”

He explained that while there can be pricing pressures from both global brands and lower-end local manufacturers, Technofour has carved a distinct position: “We operate in a unique space — offering world-class technology backed by deep service support. Our focus has always been on delivering value, safety, and peace of mind, irrespective of where the machine is made.”

Collaborations and technological expansion

To further advance their product capabilities, Technofour is actively pursuing strategic partnerships.

“We have already partnered with companies for advanced technologies like Smart Belt Inspection System,” shared Nanajkar. “We are open to more collaborations and joint ventures—especially those aligned with our goal of 100% made-in-India manufacturing.”

Nanajkar concluded with a message for prospective clients, stating, “We are a technology-driven organization that delivers the best solutions in our category. We don’t just sell machines—we stay with our customers through every step of their journey.”

Technofour Electronics, with its unwavering focus on innovation, local development, and customer satisfaction, continues to be a significant player in India’s fast-changing food technology sector. As they keep raising standards in inspection solutions, their journey exemplifies how Indian engineering can compete—and succeed—on the global stage.
