NovaTaste acquires Tec-Al

The range of tailor-made culinary solutions in Italy will be expanded

FoodTechBiz Desk

NovaTaste, a global leader in taste innovation, has agreed to acquire the operations of Tec-Al srl ("Tec-Al"), a renowned manufacturer of high-quality flavor solutions. As part of this transaction, Tec-Al's business will be integrated into NovaTaste Italy srl, among others, increasing the combined group's capacity to offer tailor-made flavor solutions to customers throughout Italy and Europe. The acquisition follows NovaTaste's recent strategic partnership with Eppers to enhance capabilities in the liquid segment and further expand its European presence.

Tec-Al is based in Traversetolo, near Parma (Italy), and operates in a region famous for its rich tradition and know-how in the food sector. Over the past 30 years, Tec-Al has built strong partnerships with the food industry, delivering tasty solutions from a diverse portfolio of food ingredients, natural flavors, spices, marinades and herbs. Tec-Al's success is due to its ability to address challenges faced by food companies through highly customized products and services. By working closely together in the development and preparation phase of functional semi-finished food products, Tec-Al has positioned itself as the preferred co-creation partner for numerous Italian food manufacturers. The company continues to focus on the continuous improvement of product quality and service.

The Tec-Al brand will continue seamlessly. The existing management team will also take on important functions in the new Italian unit of the NovaTaste Group.

Erik Wiberg-Lyng, CEO of NovaTaste, said, "Tec-Al has made a first-class name for itself in the industry and with its in-depth competencies in the Italian food industry, it will significantly enhance NovaTaste's ability to serve our customers in Southern Europe in the future. I look forward to welcoming the Tec-Al team to NovaTaste."

Niki Pavarani and Paolo Guarneri, Managing Directors of Tec-Al, commented, "This acquisition is an important step that will allow the Tec-Al brand to continue to expand with the same commitment to quality and service. With NovaTaste we have found the ideal partner for Tec-Al, and together we are the leading provider of flavor solutions for the Italian food industry. On behalf of the entire management team, I would like to thank our employees and customers who have shaped Tec-Al over the past 31 years. We look forward to a bright future with NovaTaste." The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025.
