Cow milk, co-branded products, and 22 new booths launched under Delhi Milk Scheme

The Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) marked a major milestone with the launch of premium Cow Milk, co-branded dairy products, and the distribution of new booth allotment letters at a special event held on August 13, 2025, at the NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi. The event was graced by Smt. Alka Upadhyaya, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), along with senior officials, dairy sector stakeholders, and beneficiaries.

Launch of new products to enhance quality and trust

The event featured the digital unveiling of Cow Milk and co-branded dairy products, a strategic step toward improving product quality, strengthening consumer confidence, and empowering livestock farmers.

Commending the initiative, Smt. Alka Upadhyaya shared the department’s vision to reinforce India’s dairy ecosystem through high-quality offerings and inclusive opportunities across the value chain. She praised DMS and the Haryana Milk Federation for introducing new products to meet evolving market demands.

22 New booth allotments to create opportunities

As part of the initiative, 22 new booth allotment letters were distributed to selected applicants under DMS, creating new employment opportunities and strengthening the rural–urban dairy link.

Varsha Joshi, Additional Secretary, DAHD, emphasized the critical role of DMS in supplying quality milk and dairy products to Delhi NCR and highlighted how the introduction of new products represents a significant advancement for the brand.

Dairy sector stakeholders show strong support

The event witnessed the participation of Rama Shankar Sinha, Additional Secretary, DAHD; Jagat Hazarika, Advisor, DAHD; Ram Avtar Garg, Chairman, Vita of Haryana Dairy Development Co-Operative Federation Ltd.; and other senior officials and industry representatives, reflecting strong sector-wide support for the initiative.
