Prasuma announces category expansion with brand new products in Frozen Food Portfolio

FoodTechBiz Desk

Prasuma, India’s leading chilled meat and frozen food brand, has announced the addition of new snacks to its frozen food portfolio. The brand is set to launch frozen Chicken Nuggets, Frozen Veg and Chicken Spring Rolls, Veg and Chicken Mini Samosas, Mutton and Chicken Shammi Kababs, and Mutton and Chicken Seekh Kababs as well as Bacon to its frozen portfolio.

The massive category expansion is in line with the organic demand being generated across the country for Prasuma’s products as frozen food becomes a mainstream part of Indian kitchens. With Chicken Nuggets being a brand new addition to the Prasuma brand, all other products are being shifted from the company’s Fresh & Chill category to the Frozen segment based on the shift in consumer expectations and interest arising from its business partners.

The new product range will be available across all 70 cities that are a part of Prasuma’s geographical footprint with the price range starting from Rs 185 to Rs 596. These will be sold across the brand’s retail partners including Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, Blinkit, Nature’s Basket, Walmart, Meatigo.com, and Foodhall, among others.

Speaking on the development, Lisa Suwal, chief executive officer, Prasuma, said, “Since its inception, Prasuma has been proud to be a consumer-centric brand, giving customers easy access to their favourite frozen food products. Introducing the most popular items such as our Seekh Kebabs from our Fresh & Chill segment as Frozen options is an extension of our long-standing customer-driven expansion strategy. We are excited to see the response that our new range garners, which will ultimately benefit our customers as well as the brand.”

Adding to this, Gayatri Tampi, CMO, Prasuma, said, “We have been seeing incremental demand for a larger variety of frozen foods following the stellar response for our new Momo variants. Considering the requests from thousands of our prized customers, we decided to take the plunge into new and exciting frozen food items from Seekh Kababs to Spring Rolls. This is a critical juncture in Prasuma’s growth trajectory, and we look forward to adding more fan-favourites from our consumer’s at-home menus.”
