Volnaa launches mineral water in Aluminum cans

FoodTechBiz Desk

Our environment and our surroundings are constantly being abused and exploited. One of the most significant sources of our landfills being at more than maximum capacity, and the all-encompassing pollution around us is single-use plastic. The founders of Delhi-based beverage brand Volnaa want to help reduce carbon footprint by making sure you use less single-use plastic while being hydrated and fresh.

Volnaa is launching canned mineral water in 500ml variants. Their vision is to reduce plastic pollution by using 100% recyclable aluminum cans with relock technology for lids.

According to the company, the water is sourced directly from the Himalayas (pH level of 7.9) and enriched with essential vitamins and minerals. Moreover, it claims the Volnaa packaged water to be superior in quality among many others already existing in the market.

As the Volnaa water comes in an aluminum can, so you don’t have to worry about leaving a plastic bottle behind that will take 450 years to decompose. Aluminum can go from the shelf to the bins and back to the shelf again within just 60 days. Aluminum recycling is economically and environmentally effective, as recycled aluminum requires only 5% of the energy used to make primary aluminum and can have the same properties as the parent metal. In fact, aluminum can be recycled endlessly without loss of material properties.

Kartik Rajput and Kushagra Sharma started Volnaa in the year 2020. They wanted to contribute to saving the environment while at the same time exponentially enriching the lives of their customers. Commenting on their venture, Rajput said, “It is so satisfying to know that we can reduce the strain on our environment.”

Kushagra added, “Water is the closest thing we have to a real-life elixir, and we wanted to make its consumption cool and trendy.”
