Schematic Engineering Industries is an international manufacturer of complex industrial systems. It specializes in the supply of containment and barrier isolator equipment including glove boxes and ancillary products for processing hazardous substances in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry sectors.

With product design, engineering, and assembly/test facilities in the UK, schematic currently exports innovative barrier isolators and glove boxes to more than 10 countries.

Talking about the company’s journey over the years, Shreepad Hegde, managing director, Schematic Engineering says, “We have been working in the food, pharma, and chemical industry for over two decades. We have built a strong reputation for automation and process equipment in India and the overseas market.”

The company manufactures barrier isolators, pass boxes, workstation equipment, process equipment, safety equipment, and cGAMP control systems among others.

Schematic Engineering Industries (India) operate its main manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India in a 35,0000 square foot purpose-built and wholly owned state-of-the-art facility set in one acre of land in the heart of the Pharma city region.

Innovating to roll with the times

Hegde informed that Schematic Engineering has developed many innovative products for the pharma and chemical industry. He proudly says, “In the last 5 years, Schematic has filed more than 10 patents in India and abroad.”

Rapid urbanization drives the F&B sector’s growth

Hegde is of the opinion that the factors that are driving the growth of the F&B sector are rapid urbanization, lifestyle and food habits, and increasing household consumption. He added that the key trends that are shaping the same are the increasing gourmet brands, dairy market, bakery segments, packaged foods, and nutraceutical market.

“With the short product life cycles, rapidly changing tastes of the people and value chain, it is important that we are on top of innovation in providing processing solutions and flexible automation,” he adds.

Waiting eagerly to take part in India’s most awaited trade show for the food and drink industry, Hegde says, “With the Schematic program and strong name in the market, we look to expand our presence in this vertical. We also look forward to bringing the technology from our other verticals to bring disruption in the food and beverage industry.”
