

Carlsberg India has announced an investment of ₹100 crore in its Mysuru brewery with the commissioning of a new state-of-the-art canning line, adding a capacity of 22,000 cans per hour. The expansion underscores the company’s continued focus on strengthening its manufacturing footprint and meeting growing consumer demand in India.
This latest investment builds on Carlsberg India’s previously announced ₹350 crore expansion commitment at Invest Karnataka 2025 and reinforces the company’s confidence in India as a strategic, long-term growth market.
The new can line was formally inaugurated by Shri Yathindra Siddaramaiah, MLC, Government of Karnataka, and H.E. Peter Winther-Schmidt, Consul General of Denmark in Bengaluru, in the presence of Nilesh Patel, Managing Director, Carlsberg India, and the company’s senior leadership team, including Sanjeev Gupta, Vice President – Integrated Supply Chain; Vandana Kapur, Vice President – People & Culture; Ananda Sengupta, Vice President – Sales; and Rishi K. Chawla, Vice President – Corporate Affairs.
With this expansion, Carlsberg India continues to enhance its operational capabilities while remaining committed to brewing high-quality beers, driving sustainable growth, and creating long-term value for the communities it serves.
