Cosmo Films, a global leader in films for packaging, labeling, lamination and synthetic paper and an emerging player in specialty chemicals, polymers and pet care on 4th June declared an upgrade in long term credit rating to AA- and short-term credit rating to A1+ from CRISIL with a stable outlook.

Commenting on the company’s performance Pankaj Poddar, chief executive officer, Cosmo Films, said, “The upgrade in credit rating reflects a healthy business profile supported by strong market position across various flexible packaging segments, specifically specialty films growth, improved operating efficiency and a strong financial profile.”

The company is strategically expanding beyond films into specialty chemicals and polymers as well as pet care business.
