The MRA is set to provide a strong boost to bilateral agri-trade, creating expanded opportunities for Indian farmers and exporters while enhancing consumer access to high-quality organic products. By reducing regulatory hurdles, the arrangement will help streamline certification processes and strengthen trade partnerships in the organic food sector.

Highlighting India’s growing role in the global organic ecosystem, the initiative marks a major step towards positioning India as the Organic Food Basket of the World.

Further underlining this vision, India will showcase its agri-food excellence at World Food India 2025, to be held from 25th to 28th September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The APEDA Pavilion will bring together exporters, producers, and innovators under one roof, highlighting the country’s rich diversity of agricultural produce, processed foods, and GI-tagged specialties. The event promises to demonstrate why India is recognized as the food basket of the world, presenting the very best of India’s agri-food innovations to a global audience.
