Exciting times lie ahead for Sona Machinery as the company reaches a significant milestone this Dhanteras with the installation of major capital equipment at its upcoming state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ghaziabad. This development marks the beginning of a new chapter of growth and prosperity for the organization.
As a leading player in the rice and grain processing segment, Sona Machinery is strategically expanding its product portfolio to meet increasing consumer demand and diversify its production capabilities. A new production line for electrical LT panels is being set up at the new facility, further strengthening the company’s manufacturing ecosystem, reducing dependency on vendors, and potentially lowering the cost of goods sold (COGS).
This milestone reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing production capacity, driving technological innovation, and creating new employment opportunities in the agricultural processing sector. Strategically located near the existing plant on the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway, the new facility has been designed to support future expansion and reinforce Sona Machinery’s operational agility and resilience.
Last year, the company conducted a Bhoomi Pujan ceremony to mark the commencement of this landmark project. The new facility will feature advanced manufacturing systems, energy-efficient operations, and automated precision technologies to elevate production efficiency and product quality.
This initiative follows Sona Machinery’s successful IPO launch in March 2024, where raised capital was allocated toward establishing the new Ghaziabad unit. The plant is set to become fully operational, creating over 200 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
“As we celebrate Dhanteras—a time symbolizing prosperity and new beginnings—it gives me immense pride to see our second manufacturing facility being established,” said Vasu Naren, chairman and managing director, Sona Machinery. “This expansion will ease the process of new product development, enable cost optimisation through lean manufacturing methodologies, boost profitability, and contribute to national growth as a 100% Indian company.”
