This budget of Amritkal is touching all the right levers for middle class and women empowerment - Prahlad Singh Patel

Reacting to the budget, Union Minister of State Prahlad Singh Patel said that this budget of the Modi government is a budget for all-inclusive, public welfare, overall development of the nation. In this budget, special care has been taken of the middle class, women, youth, farmers and every section. This budget has given new hope in the eyes of the middle class people. The per capita income has more than doubled to 1.97 lakh this year.

The government has achieved extraordinary success by connecting 81 lakh self-help groups under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihood Mission to strengthen women financially. Women will be provided with a new small savings scheme, Mahila Samman Savings Certificate for a period of two years. In this, deposits of up to two lakh rupees will be given at the rate of 7.5 percent for a period of two years in the name of women and girls.

In the budget, the PLI scheme issued by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries has been increased by about Rs 500 crore. It has been increased from Rs 1022 crore to Rs 1530 crore. An investment of Rs 75,000 crore will be made to strengthen logistics, which will strengthen the food processing sector and make India a global hub of coarse grains. An Agriculture Accelerator Fund will be created to promote agricultural start-ups. Agricultural credit has been increased to Rs 20 lakh crore.

The budget is going to encourage states to set up unity malls in state capitals to provide space for such products from all other states for promotion and sale of their 'one district one product', GI products and other handicraft products. PM-PRANAM scheme will be launched to promote alternative fertilizers. The budget proposes to set up 500 new plants under the Gobardhan scheme.

After the efforts of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today the whole world is understanding the importance of coarse grains. In future, India will become a global hub for millets. The small farmers of India will benefit the most from this. Now this 'super food' has been given a new identity by the name of 'Shri Anna'. 'Shri Anna' will provide financial support to our small farmers and tribal brothers and sisters who are engaged in farming.
