Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Goud and Tummala Nageswara Rao inaugurated the 17th Poultry India Expo 2025 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, marking the opening of South Asia’s largest poultry event. It is organised by the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA), the expo is being held from 25–28 November and features unprecedented global participation, strategic collaborations, and an extensive showcase of innovation across the poultry value chain. With India ranking second in global egg production and among the top four broiler-producing nations, the sector continues to expand as a global powerhouse, contributing significantly to nutrition, employment, and economic growth.

The expo, centred on the theme “One Nation, One Expo,” has built strong partnerships with 16 international poultry associations, over 40 national bodies, 18 national media houses, 15 global media organisations, and more than 100 influencers.

These collaborations are elevating the event’s scale and visibility, making this edition the most connected and impactful yet. Telangana Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar Goud and Tummala Nageswara Rao attended Day 1, underscoring the government’s support for industry growth, sustainability, and rural market empowerment. IPEMA President Shri Uday Singh Bayas expressed pride in the organisation’s role in fostering innovation and strengthening cooperation across sectors.

More than 500 exhibitors from over 50 countries are participating, with 50,000 visitors engaging across 35,000 sq. meters of exhibits in seven halls. Live showcases include breakthroughs in breeding, genetics, automation, feed solutions, ventilation systems, biosecurity, sustainable processing, and green technologies. The event also focuses on key challenges such as sustainability, disease control, smart technology adoption, and raw material volatility. The flagship Poultry Knowledge Day brought together global experts to discuss emerging diseases, sustainable strategies, rural market potential, and evolving career opportunities, with Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Vakiti Srihari attending as Chief Guest.

The expo is facilitating high-impact networking, trade partnerships, technology launches, and international collaborations. With HITEX’s world-class infrastructure supporting this large-scale platform, the event aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, empowering farmers, entrepreneurs, veterinarians, and stakeholders to drive the next phase of poultry transformation.
