Mondi, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging, will present its full portfolio of mixed fiber corrugated papers during the 44th International Convention and Expo ACCCSA, taking place August 25-27, 2026 in Guatemala City. At booth 59, Mondi's commercial and technical experts will show how selecting the right paper can develop corrugated packaging solutions for specific applications, from fresh fruit and vegetables such as bananas, pineapples and avocados to demanding and heavy-duty industrial applications.
Corrugated packaging must protect products throughout complex supply chains, balancing strength, printability, resource efficiency, and regulatory compliance for food contact materials. Selecting the right combination of liners and corrugated papers to make corrugated boxes is critical to achieving these goals. By tailoring paper performance to the required application, converters can optimize packaging performance and production efficiency.
At ACCCSA, Mondi will be showcasing its ProVantage range of corrugated papers for a wide variety of applications. Visitors will be able to learn about Mondi's portfolio of semi-chemical corrugated – ProVantage Powerflute, ProVantage Frescoflute and ProVantage Aquaflute – developed for demanding supply chains where humidity, long transport distances and high compression loads demand reliable packaging.®®®
In addition to supplying high-quality, consistently performing paper, Mondi's Orange Board technical and commercial service helps customers optimize paper selection, overcome production challenges and improve corrugated board performance along the entire value chain.
Mondi works closely with converters, brand owners and other partners along the entire value chain to develop packaging solutions tailored to specific applications. One example is the collaboration with partners in Ecuador to redesign the traditional banana export box. By optimizing the paper mix used in the box design, Mondi contributed to the development of a up to 10% lighter corrugated solution, incorporating approximately 40% recycled fiber, without compromising performance during 33-day sea voyages in high humidity conditions.
"Each application has specific requirements for packaging. At ACCCSA we look forward to discussing our customers' challenges and identifying the paper mix that best suits their performance, efficiency and sustainability goals," says Lauri Saaskilahti, Containerboard's Sales Director for the Americas.
