MONIN India announces the return of MONIN Cup 2026, the 8th edition of the brand’s biennial bartending competition spotlighting creativity, innovation, and the next generation of bar talent. Held across more than 80 countries, MONIN Cup has evolved into one of the hospitality industry’s most recognised global platforms, giving young bartenders visibility, mentorship, and the opportunity to represent their country on the world stage.

Theme: Timeless Twists

This year’s theme, “Timeless Twists”, challenges participants to reinterpret the classics through a modern perspective. Competitors are encouraged to look to the past for inspiration: reviving forgotten flavours, honouring time-tested techniques, and exploring the stories behind iconic serves. They will then be asked to reimagine them using contemporary ingredients, presentation styles, and bartending techniques.

Competition Eligibility & Format

The competition is open to professional bartenders and bartending students aged 27 and below. In India, entries can be submitted digitally through the official MONIN Cup India website between 8th June and 25th June 2026. Registered participants must submit an original recipe inspired by the "Timeless Twists" theme, along with a brief biography highlighting their experience and creative inspiration. A panel of MONIN beverage experts will review all entries and select the top submissions to advance to the regional rounds.

In July 2026, the regional competitions will take place across four cities, before the top finalists converge at the MONIN Cup India Finale in Bengaluru on 5th August 2026. India's national winner will then represent the country at the Global Finale in Paris on 8th-9th December 2026.

Germain Araud, Managing Director, MONIN India, says, “The MONIN Cup has always been about giving young bartenders a platform to express their creativity and push the boundaries of what’s possible in mixology. For many, it becomes a defining moment in their journey: opening doors to larger opportunities, industry visibility, and international recognition, while allowing them to showcase their own unique perspective behind the bar.”
