Provisur, the leading industrial food processing equipment manufacturer headquartered in Chicago, with offices and Innovation Centers around the world, is at IFFA 2025, in Frankfurt, Germany, from 3-8 May to showcase the company’s Further Processing innovations. The booth highlights the Weiler Mixer Grinder Dominator 14 with new technology: an inline reclaim system. In addition, the VerTex 660 rotary former, ideal for burger patties, and the Formax Ultra26 slide-plate former for high-capacity lines are featured. In an exciting development, Provisur will also unveil a brand new, heavy-duty grinder, the successor to the Weiler 16 BG.
Groundbreaking, comprehensive systems for meat and alternative proteins
Provisur’s renowned food processing systems for beef, poultry, pork and alternative proteins deliver both fully automated machines for high-speed, high-capacity single-product lines and semi-automated machines for smaller, more flexible lines. Furthermore, given Provisur’s full-line expertise, individual machines are integrated into line systems in which machines communicate and optimize yield and quality throughout the process with minimum human touchpoints. The company booth at IFFA 2025 highlights a selection of these.
Superior meat products with Weiler Mixer Grinder Dominator 14
The Dominator 14, renowned for its quality and durability, is an excellent long-term investment for processors of beef, pork, chicken, alternative proteins, pet foods and other raw materials. Used in tandem with Provisur’s Dominator Max inline reclaim system, it allows processors to maximize output and deliver an outstanding end product with premium texture.
The Dominator 14 has a number of standout features. Twin overlapping, counter rotating paddles combine with an unload screw to provide a quick, thorough mixing action that is gentle on the product while ensuring a consistent mix of all raw materials. The technology in the grinding head provides clean cuts without increasing the temperature, and Dominator Balanced Flow Technology perfectly balances the flow of material, thereby maximizing throughput efficiency. Losses during the process are kept to an absolute minimum. An inline fat analysis, which is typically integrated after the first grinder, provides exact data on fat content and, if necessary, requests more fat or more lean meat to reach the target range. This gives processors a high level of control and enables them to reliably meet fat content and quality requirements.
Maximizing profit and yield: Dominator Max inline reclaim system
The Dominator Max inline reclaim is mounted on the Weiler Mixer Grinder and uses the grinder’s power. It can reclaim good product that would otherwise go into the waste stream, making it the ideal choice for higher yield. There are no extra, bulky drives and therefore no separate equipment to operate and maintain. It is a low-cost system that delivers maximum efficiency. With every batch that is processed, it generates additional yield. When calculated across multiple lines and multiple shifts, this leads to a speedy return on investment, in some cases after only two weeks.
Optimizing frozen block processing: the new Weiler large capacity grinder
In response to customer requirements, Provisur has developed a new robust, heavy-duty grinder. This grinder is designed for very high-capacity lines such as those needed for pet food. It handles frozen blocks or pre-broken frozen blocks. Due to its high volume, it delivers a one-grinder operation, eliminating the need for an extra grinder. This saves space and offers an even lower cost of ownership.
Delicious, tender burgers with VerTex 660 and Tender-Form rotary forming
The VerTex 660 former delivers superior versatility, excellent product texture, and unmatched portion control. It is ideal for forming all types and textures of burgers and offers 30-40% more capacity in relation to the size of its footprint, easily outperforming larger machines while offering the lowest cost of ownership available.
A pivoting hopper and easily removable feed screws make the VerTex quick and easy to clean. Innovative features result in reduced downtime, lower maintenance costs and increased productivity. The VerTex servo controlled dual lobe pump provides precise filling and ensures that the product is not overworked or damaged. As the system is fully enclosed, it has the added benefit of virtually eliminating product leakage.
The advantages of Tender-Form rotary forming include more even cooking, consistent internal temperatures and better overall shapes. It produces burgers that have a tender, juicy texture and gives the meat the taste and feel of homemade burgers. In fact, the system is designed for today’s tastes in ground beef products.
High volume slide-plate forming for beef, pork and chicken: Formax Ultra26
For high-volume processors seeking optimum line performance, reduced maintenance and enhanced portion control, the Ultra26 slide-plate former is ideal for producers servicing the growing global QSR market. The machine produces popular products such as burger patties, pork sausage, chicken filets, chicken nuggets as well as non-meat products.
The Ultra26 delivers precise weight and shape control while forming products to give them a natural texture and excellent appearance. It features a servo driven knock-out system to accurately place formed products on conveyors for further processing. The touch screen control provides an easy and effective user interface while the servo mold plate drive enhances machine reliability and accuracy. The product feed conveyor allows fully integrated material handling.
All-round excellence: automation, simple maintenance, lower costs
True to the company motto “Pushing Boundaries”, Provisur constantly works to increase yield, quality and safety without increasing the footprint and overall cost of the machines. The Provisur Feed the Former (FTF) system is a fully automated materials transfer system comprised of grinders, formers and conveyors. The manual movement of raw meat is very labor-intensive and carries high hygienic risks, whereas FTF automatically transfers raw material from mixing and grinding and feeds it into the formers with virtually no manual touchpoints. Multiple automated transfer belts allow processors to produce at high volume and maintain the superior quality and consistency that is required by their customers.
Less wear and tear parts lead to minimum maintenance and repairs, and ease of use is built into all Provisur systems. “We design our machines for simple operation in order to avoid lengthy and costly training and onboarding processes, “ says Fons Jacobs, Sales Manager Further Processing EMEA, Provisur. “Due to the rising cost of raw materials, Provisur customers appreciate our equipment’s sustainable use of resources and minimum food waste. These advantages go hand in hand with fast and effective customer support. All in all, Provisur systems lead to significantly lower costs and a fast return on investment.”
