Moisture content is a critical parameter in the quality control of milk powder. Accurate moisture determination ensures product stability, shelf life, and compliance with food safety standards. This article presents an optimized method for moisture analysis using both a Halogen Moisture Analyzer and a traditional Drying Oven.
Sample Description: The sample analyzed is milk powder, characterized as a solid powder.
Method Parameters: Two drying techniques are compared:
Energy Consumption: In tests conducted by METTLER TOLEDO under ideal conditions at 230 V, energy consumption of the halogen moisture analyzer was found to be approximately 9 Wh.
Note: This method serves as a foundational approach that must be optimized and confirmed for each specific sample type.
Disclaimer: The transfer and use of this method are beyond the control of METTLER TOLEDO. Users must observe general safety rules and precautions recommended by manufacturers of chemicals and solvents.
