Buhler (India) is dedicated to covering the basic needs of safe food for all

Buhler (India) in the consumer food and feed industry helps companies manufacture safe and healthy products for both human and animal nutrition via their equipment which involves carefully handling raw materials, supporting sustainable value chains, reducing waste, and increasing energy efficiency throughout production. The 160-year-old company originally from Switzerland is one of the market leaders in grains and foods, pulses, etc. The company set foot in India in 1992. Buhler (India).

While talking about the company Ajith Dharan, head of Business – Consumer Foods, Buhler (India) said, “Billions of people come into contact with Bühler technologies to cover their basic needs for food and mobility every day. For this, they have developed the best process solutions along with complete value chains. Two billion people each day enjoy foods produced on Bühler equipment; one billion people travel in vehicles manufactured with parts produced with our machinery. With this global relevance, we are uniquely positioned to turn today’s global challenges into sustainable and good business.”

R&D and Innovations

Dharan informed, “Buhler (India) invests 5% of turnover towards research and development. Our tagline is ‘Making innovations work for mankind’. The innovations strive to address energy, waste and water consumption in coordination with their consumers to make these initiatives work better. Digitalization and Plant-based proteins are other areas that Buhler is working on.”

When asked about their impression of the exhibition – Inter FoodTech Snack & Bake Tec Pac Mech Ex he said, “Initially we were skeptical about the feasibility and the footfall considering the pandemic; however, we decided that it has been about two years which is too long since we did a physical engagement activity and took the plunge. We feel this was a good decision enabling us to maintain our existing relationships and build newer ones, which Buhler (India) has always excelled in. We have had a good days at the exhibition.”

At Inter FoodTech Snack & Bake Tec Pac Mech Ex, Buhler (India) had their visitors even sample plant-based marshmallows that had their visitors excited. They seem to look forward to more opportunities to interact with others in the industry.
