Meet Multivac & Middleby Bakery Group at Snacks & BakeTec 2022

Multivac Laraon India develops turnkey packaging lines focused on maintaining the quality and shelf life of these perishable food items and automating the entire food production process to maintain hygiene. They have the Fritsch bakery Technologies GmbH & Co.KG falling under their umbrella. This is their German-based arm involved in food production and processing as well.

“Our core business is packaging to increase the shelf life of the food products; this happens with the flushing of various gases before sealing. Most of the focus is on the bakery division. They also process and pack various meat products like sausages, kebabs and others. The research focuses on making the entire food production process automatic where there is no need for human involvement to improve hygiene and sanitation,” quotes Sanjeev Chauhan, business unit manager, Multivac Laraon India.

The Middleby Bakery is a publicly-traded company listed in NASDAQ Stock Exchange. The three verticals under them are food service division, residential kitchen equipment and the industrial food processing group. The food service division contributes almost 60% of the revenue, The residential kitchen division contributes about 20% and the rest is the industrial food processing division, whose bakery division is exhibiting at Inter Food tech Snack & Bake Tech & Pac Mech Exhibition. The Middleby Group has 12 brands under them, which cater to every kind of requirement in the bakery industry.

The products they showcase at the exhibition are the technologies for biscuits, cookies, crackers, cakes and bread.

“We have many new innovations and technologies that will be revealed at the show in Las Vegas in September. The innovations are focused on helping customers reduce downtime, make more efficient usage of space, and reduce the overall consumption of fuel and energy, which would save costs and be better for the planet. We also look at tackling the problem of wastage that most players in the food industry face,” says Ritabrata Chakraborty, area sales manager, Middleby Bakery

The companies look forward to Snack & Bake Tec 2022, as such expo is happening after a long break due to the pandemic. The idea is to tap new customers, especially those who want to enter new segments, allowing cross-pollination. The company believes these exhibitions are a good platform for people to understand new technologies and how they can help their business further.
