India International Dairy Expo (IIDE) 2022 – Day 2

DAY 2 of the special edition of India International Dairy Expo 2022 witnessed a huge footfall of visitors. The day was full of spirit with content exhibitors, enthusiastic industry personnel, IIDE Knowledge Platform including thought-provoking sessions and panel discussion of industry stalwarts, live dairy line demonstrations, and happy visitors.

IIDE Knowledge Forum – Open Floor Workshop

The first introductory edition of IIDE Knowledge Forum was a success. The open floor workshop witnessed a very good response from the industry peers. The event was organized in association with the Association of Food Scientists & Technologists (India) (ASFTI) Mumbai Chapter and Chamber for Advancement of Small and Medium Businesses (CASMB).

The open floor workshop started with an inaugural address by Dr Chinmayee Deulgaonkar, Vice President - AFSTI (Mumbai Chapter). Also, it included a presentation by Smitha Murthy, India representative FSSC 22000, on Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000 - A stepwise approach to developing a globally recognized food safety system. She informed the audience about the FSSC development program. CA Maheshwar Marathe enlightened the audience on MSME Samadhan and its growing awareness of receivable management. Vandana Advani, Associate Director, QA & Regulatory, Foodchain ID, gave a brief overview of regulatory requirements for the dairy industry.

Panel Discussion - Innovation in Dairy Sector

The forum included an insightful panel discussion by dairy industry stalwarts including Sriram N Murthy, CEO, Zazen Systems; Ragavan Venkatesan, Founder & CEO, Digivriddhi Technologies (DGV); Ritesh Sharma, Plant Head, Gemac, Engineering Solutions; and Utkarsh Kapoor, CEO and Founder, ORIGHT on 'Innovation in Dairy Sector'. The panel discussion was moderated by Nilesh Lele, president, CASMB.

Ragavan Venkatesan, founder and CEO of Digivriddhi Technologies (DGV), said, "Dairy farmer is core of our business model, and we are working along with federation and cooperatives to enhance the output and productivity of dairy farmers as they contribute 25% of the Agri GDP of our country. We want to play an active role in doubling farmers' income by providing them with payment capabilities, cattle loans, cattle insurance, and other productivity enhancement tools. DGV PAY, DGV MONEY and DGV CONNECT will form the foundation to reimagine financial inclusion for the Diary farmers & Dairy Micro-Enterprises in a simple and seamless way."
