Safic-Alcan expands India presence with S.A. Ingredients acquisition

Safic-Alcan, a major distributor of specialty chemicals, announces that it has acquired a majority stake in S.A. Ingredients Private Limited (SAI), a leading distributor of specialty chemicals for the Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical industries in India.

S.A. Ingredients was established in September 2023 following the demerger of the distribution business of S.A. Pharmachem Private Limited (SAP), a company in operations since 1992 and headquartered in Mumbai. SAI distributes specialty ingredients to over 400 customers across the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors, working with world-class principals. The company employs over 30 people.
