Plant-based, gluten-free ambient food mixes set to launch in Sainsbury’s offering meat-free alternatives

Plant-based, gluten-free ambient meal solutions supplier www.simplygreenfoods.co.uk hit Sainsbury’s shelves across the country on January 22nd, as part of the brand’s plan to make plant-based diets more affordable and accessible for all – just in time for those currently experiencing Veganuary or experimenting with meat-free meals.

The plant-based and gluten-free products will be available in 400 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide and the new partnership will see Sainsbury’s join Amazon, Booths and Ocado as leading retailers stocking the brand’s ambient food products.

MRSPs are £1.89 for falafel mixes and £2.99 for veggie loaves and Sainsbury’s will now be stocking the following at highly competitive launch prices:

Falafel mixes – Beetroot & Chilli and Pumpkin & Quinoa

Veggie loaves – Bombay Lentil Loaf and Mexican Bean Bake

Each product can be eaten as an all-in-one meal or just as easily shared as a healthy snack among family or friends. Being ambient food products, they don’t take up any space in the fridge or freezer and are quick, simple meal options, only requiring water.
