India’s largest food and FMCG brand, Amul, is making waves with its high-impact association with nine teams for its high-protein range, six teams for ice cream, and three teams for beverages this IPL season.

Amul, the leader in the ice cream category in India, offers a huge range of ice creams in multiple packaging formats, flavors, price points, and pack sizes, leaving consumers spoilt for choice. Amul’s strategic launch of its high-protein range is empowering athletes and non-athletes alike. Both Amul Ice Cream and Amul Protein are official partners with KKR this season. Taking the protein revolution ahead, the KKR team launched Amul’s latest innovation—the world’s first high-protein kulfi.

Amul High Protein Kulfi was launched on 25th April 2025 at a grand event at ITC Sonar, Kolkata. It is a game-changing high-protein product for the masses. Every high-protein mango-flavored kulfi contains 10g of protein with only 57 calories. It is low-fat, lactose-free, prebiotic, provides 100 million CFU probiotics, and has no added sugar. Priced at just Rs 40 for a 60g pack, it will soon be launched across all of Amul’s official quick-commerce partners. Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Amul, said, “We are excited about this innovation and many more upcoming high-protein products such as paratha, sandwich, snacks, ice cream, coffee, etc., to ensure that every Indian gets at least 1g of protein per kg of body weight every day.”

Amul’s high-protein range, available exclusively on Amul’s D2C site, shop.amul.com, has taken the fitness and nutrition market by storm. Launched in 2022, this range comprises India’s first plain lactose-free WPC, offering 25g of protein in a single-serve 32g sachet with no added sweeteners, colors, or flavors; lactose-free chocolate WPC; high-protein paneer with 25% protein (Rs 150 for 205g); high-protein dahi with 25g of protein (Rs 70 for 400g); and many other exciting high-protein products.

All the products have been designed with the intent to maximize the protein-to-calorie ratio, enabling people to consume protein without taking in extra calories from carbohydrates and fats, which they anyway get from their regular diet. With functional benefits such as being lactose-free, having no added sugar, being low-fat or fat-free, and offering less than 100 calories per serving, there is a product to suit everyone’s needs.

After all, if Indians must become stronger, protein is the answer—and who better than the dairy giant Amul to take the lead? Every day, Amul collects over 350 lakh liters of milk and is the largest manufacturer of cheese in the country, ensuring ample milk protein to create the finest quality high-protein products that naturally fit into the Indian diet.

Amul Protein has already emerged as the choice of top athletes and fitness enthusiasts. It is only a matter of time before the protein revolution brings about a significant improvement in the physical strength of Indians.
