interpack 2029: Early summer date and new runtime

FoodTechBiz Desk

The excitement following interpack 2026 is still palpable: meaningful encounters, strong business deals and plenty of inspiration continue to have a lasting impact. At the same time, the focus is firmly on the future: for 2029, interpack is setting the course for the future with a new date and a new runtime.

The next interpack will take place from 10 to 15 June 2029. This means that the world’s leading trade fair for processing and packaging will now be held in early summer and will adopt a new schedule: six days of the fair, from Sunday to Friday. interpack is thus refining its format and responding to the trend whereby leading international trade fairs must now focus even more strongly on efficiency and high-quality networking opportunities.

“interpack is the most important platform in its sector. Building on this position, we are consistently developing the event further. We listen carefully to what exhibitors and visitors need and are creating a format that will support their success at the trade fair even more effectively. This is the first visible sign of that. Further innovations will follow,” says Thomas Dohse, Director of interpack, commenting on the plans for 2029.

The change is based on in-depth discussions with exhibiting companies and has been thoroughly discussed with the interpack Advisory Board and international industry associations. It responds to the frequently expressed desire for a more compact event schedule, which focuses on high-quality contacts and a more targeted use of time at the trade fair. By running from Sunday to Friday, interpack combines a wide international reach with greater efficiency for exhibitors and visitors.

The early summer date ties in with the unique energy of interpack: the walkways, outdoor areas and the entire site will once again become bustling hubs of interaction. This creates an industry meeting place that further emphasises the festival-like atmosphere for the global processing and packaging community – as the perfect complement to the innovations, discussions and business deals taking place in the exhibition halls.

Close collaboration with the industry and the ability to respond flexibly to new developments remain key factors in interpack’s success.
