Leading global ingredient supplier Corbion has been awarded a 2023 EcoVadis gold medal for its overall achievements in sustainability. This is the seventh year of Corbion's association with EcoVadis, the leading provider of trusted business sustainability ratings with a global network of more than 100,000 rated companies.

In its assessment, EcoVadis evaluated Corbion's policies, actions, and results across all production facilities worldwide, scoring the company's performance in the areas of environment, labor practices, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Corbion's overall 2023 score was just a single percentage point lower than its previous – and second consecutive – platinum-level rating; it is based on a revised scoring threshold recently raised higher by EcoVadis.

"The work we have done to achieve our 2023 gold rating, the progress we've made, and the improvements we continue to make in our sustainability efforts at Corbion give us a lot to be proud of," said Olivier Rigaud, chief executive officer, Corbion.
