American Pistachio Growers successfully marked its presence at MEWA India 2026, India’s largest dry fruits and nuts trade show, held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi. The exclusive gathering brought together key stakeholders from the food, nutrition, and agri-trade sectors, fostering meaningful conversations around quality, sourcing, and global collaboration.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to engage with the leadership team of American Pistachio Growers, including Zachary Fraser, President & CEO; Scott Fryer, Vice President Global Marketing; Suzanne Devereaux, Director International Marketing (Asia & Europe); and Sumit Saran, India Market Representative. The leadership shared insights into California-grown American pistachios, their superior quality standards, sustainable farming practices, and growing relevance in the Indian market.

Speaking at the event, uzanne Devereaux shared her excitement about the ingredient’s versatility, saying, “I love how one product like American pistachios can be used in so many ways snacked on their own, added to yogurt, salads, desserts, beverages, or even innovative dishes like French toast. Seeing chefs creatively incorporate pistachios across the menu is what excites me the most.”

Highlighting the health benefits, Zachary Fraser emphasized recent research findings, stating, “American pistachios help with blood sugar control, especially for people with prediabetes and Type 1 diabetes. As someone living with Type 1 diabetes, it was incredibly meaningful to share these findings at this conference.”

Adding an India-specific perspective, Sumit Saran shared that Indian consumers are increasingly seeking nutritious, high-quality nuts. He emphasized that American pistachios align well with evolving food habits, Indian recipes, and the growing focus on mindful eating in India.

The session served as a valuable platform to strengthen industry relationships, explore trade opportunities, and highlight the nutritional benefits of American pistachios for health-conscious consumers. The interactive discussions reflected strong interest from traders, distributors, and industry professionals, reinforcing India’s importance as a key growth market.

American Pistachio Growers’ participation at MEWA India 2026 reaffirmed its commitment to building long-term partnerships and driving awareness around premium, California-grown pistachios in India.
