At ProPak Asia 2026, held from 10 to 13 June at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Duravant reinforced its commitment to delivering integrated processing, packaging, and automation solutions for the rapidly evolving Asian manufacturing landscape. Showcasing a broad portfolio of technologies and highlighting India-built innovation, the company used the exhibition as a platform to demonstrate how it is evolving from a supplier of individual equipment into a trusted end-to-end solutions partner.

Speaking during the event, Mr Anthony D'Souza, Managing Director, Duravant India, outlined the company's strategy for growth across Asia, its expanding manufacturing capabilities, and the increasing importance of automation in food and packaging operations.

Reflecting on the exhibition itself, Mr D'Souza noted that the event's new venue had been well received by both exhibitors and visitors. "ProPak Asia is being held at a new venue, and it seems to be a good one. Initially, the visitor traction was a little low, perhaps because it was Monday. However, since yesterday and today, we have seen a good number of visitors coming in," he said.

Moving beyond individual products to complete solutions

One of the central themes of Duravant's participation at ProPak Asia was its continued shift toward presenting a unified solutions portfolio rather than showcasing individual operating companies independently.

According to Mr D'Souza, the company has increasingly adopted an integrated exhibition strategy that enables customers to better understand the full breadth of Duravant's capabilities across processing, packaging, and automation.

"Since last year, we have started bringing our strengths together to demonstrate that we do not provide just one solution—we offer multiple solutions. People appreciate the fact that if they want to implement something in the industry, Duravant is a company that can support them across the entire spectrum. This builds greater trust and confidence."

The company's portfolio spans food automation, industrial automation, protein processing, food processing, and packaging technologies through brands including Mespack and Pattyn. As manufacturers increasingly seek single-source responsibility for complex projects, Duravant is positioning itself as a partner capable of managing complete production lines and integrated systems.

"Today, customers no longer come to us looking for a single machine or a single product. Instead, they ask whether we can provide the entire production line. While we may directly supply only 50–60% of the equipment, customers trust us because we take full ownership of the project," explained Mr D'Souza.

This ability to act as a single accountable partner is becoming increasingly valuable for manufacturers looking to reduce project complexity, streamline implementation, and ensure seamless integration across operations.

Showcasing India-built innovation for Asian markets

A major highlight of Duravant's presence at ProPak Asia 2026 was the showcase of a Mespack packaging machine manufactured in India, underscoring the company's growing regional manufacturing footprint and confidence in India's engineering capabilities.

The exhibit attracted considerable attention from visitors, many of whom were impressed by the quality and sophistication of equipment being produced locally for regional and global markets.

"The Mespack machine displayed here has been built in India. People have been pleasantly surprised to see such a high-quality machine manufactured in India. The message we want to convey is simple: regardless of where our equipment is built, the quality remains the same," said Mr D'Souza.

RM260 takes centre stage

A key highlight of Mespack's showcase was the Rotary Machine Model RM260, a compact, high-speed packaging solution designed and manufactured in India specifically to address the evolving requirements of Asian manufacturers.

The RM260 attracted significant attention due to its combination of flexibility, productivity, and advanced digital capabilities. According to Mr D'Souza, the machine has been developed to serve both large manufacturers seeking higher throughput and smaller companies requiring the ability to handle multiple product formats efficiently.

"Large companies require high productivity, while smaller companies often need flexibility to package multiple products. Therefore, we have developed a machine that combines advanced sophistication with operational flexibility."

One of the machine's most notable features is its ultra-fast format changeover capability, which significantly reduces downtime and improves operational efficiency. "The RM260 completes format changes in less than five minutes, which is among the fastest in this category," said Mr D'Souza.

Fast format changeovers have become increasingly important as manufacturers seek greater production flexibility while maintaining high output levels. By minimizing downtime between product runs, the RM260 enables users to improve productivity and respond more effectively to changing market demands.

Beyond speed and flexibility, the machine has also been developed with future-ready capabilities. The RM260 is IoT-enabled and designed to support digital manufacturing initiatives, allowing customers to incorporate real-time monitoring, product traceability, and data-driven operational insights into their production environments.

Mr D'Souza revealed that the machine has already achieved commercial success in India and is now generating strong interest from customers throughout Southeast Asia, reinforcing Duravant's strategy of developing regional solutions for regional markets.

Automation driving the next phase of growth

Discussing broader industry trends, Mr D'Souza identified automation as one of the most significant opportunities for growth within the food processing sector.

While the industry has made substantial progress in recent years, he believes there remains considerable scope for manufacturers to increase automation levels in order to improve productivity, consistency, and operational efficiency.

He noted that Duravant's extensive experience as a manufacturer of food processing equipment provides a strong foundation for helping customers automate production environments more effectively.

As manufacturers face increasing pressure to improve efficiency while maintaining product quality and food safety standards, automation is expected to become an increasingly important investment area across the industry.

Strong growth potential across Asia

Mr D'Souza expressed strong confidence in the long-term prospects of both India and Southeast Asia, describing the market opportunities as substantial across food processing, protein processing, packaging, and automation sectors. "I would say the opportunities are virtually unlimited. The market potential is enormous."

He noted that Duravant's broad portfolio enables the company to address a wider range of customer requirements than ever before. "Previously, customers knew us for individual pieces of equipment. Now they recognize us as a provider of complete solutions. That makes a significant difference."

Markets throughout the region continue to invest heavily in modernization, automation, and production capacity expansion, creating significant opportunities for technology providers capable of supporting entire manufacturing ecosystems.

Building growth through trust

Duravant also received encouraging feedback at ProPak Asia for its packaging technologies, including Mespack solutions and Pattyn's bag-in-box systems. Given the exhibition's strong packaging focus, the company concentrated its showcase on packaging innovations while discussing broader processing capabilities with customers.

When asked about the company's market expansion strategy, Mr D'Souza emphasized that customer trust remains at the heart of Duravant's growth philosophy. "Our strategy is very clear: build upon the trust customers have already placed in us."

He believes that reliability, accountability, and successful project execution continue to be the strongest differentiators in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

"When customers trust your reliability, it becomes much easier to introduce additional products and solutions. They know that their projects are in safe hands and that their investments will not be wasted. Competition will always exist, but in the end, reliability and trust are what truly matter."

Concluding the discussion, Mr D'Souza reiterated the company's customer-centric approach. "We are not here simply to sell products; we are here to solve customer problems. If that mindset becomes the guiding principle, every product has the potential to succeed."

As Duravant continues to expand its presence across Asia, its focus on integrated solutions, regional manufacturing, automation, and customer trust positions the company strongly to support the evolving needs of food processing and packaging manufacturers throughout the region.
