Spectra Plast India, a leading name in the manufacturing and export of conveyor components and accessories, is gearing up for its participation in IntraPac India 2025, taking place from 10 to 13 December at IEML, Greater Noida. In a recent interview, Mr. Manikandan Eswaran, General Manager – Sales at Spectra Plast, shed light on the company’s objectives, strengths, and expectations from this key industry event.
A legacy of engineering excellence
Introducing the company, Mr. Eswaran said, “We are Spectra Plast India, based in Coimbatore. We manufacture and supply conveyor components and accessories. We produce and export conveyor parts within India, as well as to more than 30 countries. Our main export markets are Southeast Asian countries and the Middle East.”
With a 25-year legacy, Spectra Plast has built a robust sales network across India, boasting a particularly strong presence in South India and Maharashtra. To ensure seamless distribution, the company also operates warehouses in Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
Strategic goals for IntraPac India 2025
Discussing the company’s participation at IntraPac India 2025, Mr. Eswaran emphasized the importance of brand visibility, “We wanted strong brand representation for Spectra Plast. Currently, we cater to more than 2,000 customers in India. We are particularly known in the bottling industry, food industry, seafood market, and the snacks market. Therefore, we always want our brand presence to be felt at every important exhibition.”
Unique Selling Proposition: Customer-centric approach
When asked about what differentiates Spectra Plast from its competitors, Mr. Eswaran highlighted their focus on communication and customization:
“Our primary USP is the ease of communication. That is the most important factor because we largely cater to machine builders, OEMs, and system integrators. Even the smallest ones—we make sure to serve them well.”
He continued, “We also help our clients in product development. We are one of the largest manufacturers of injection molding components, operating a large machine shop where we convert engineering plastics and UHMWPE components. This makes us a preferred partner for OEMs and integrators.”
R&D and Innovation: A collaborative journey
Innovation is at the core of Spectra Plast’s operations, with R&D efforts closely aligned with market needs.
“Our existing OEMs and customers always highlight the need of the hour. They share with us what the latest requirements are and give us feedback. We conduct customer feedback sessions and take these insights seriously to guide our R&D efforts,” Mr. Eswaran explained.
Spectra Plast boasts a multi-divisional R&D and manufacturing setup, including:
Machine shop division for converting customer drawings into components
Injection molding division for large-volume manufacturing
In-house tool design and product development
Wireless belts division, offering fully customized belt solutions
Roller division, creating diverse roller types based on customer specifications
“Our R&D is a very collaborative, bi-directional process where the customer is always engaged,” he added.
Solving industry pain points
In an industry where timing is everything, Mr. Eswaran highlighted how Spectra Plast addresses one of the biggest challenges: timely delivery. “Timelines are extremely critical. Supply capability is the most important factor for a supplier. This is where we have an advantage—we operate five factories in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.”
By maintaining both stock of principal products and a fully-equipped custom manufacturing setup, Spectra Plast ensures rapid turnaround for both standard and tailored orders.
Expectations from IntraPac India 2025
Spectra Plast is approaching IntraPac India 2025 with clear objectives. “Our main objective is to connect with customers. We want to see a large footfall at our booth. Technologies are evolving, customer expectations are changing, and the market is highly dynamic. Events like IntraPac India provide customers with the time to interact meaningfully with suppliers—and that is what we look forward to.”
Closing the conversation, Mr. Eswaran extended a warm invitation to visitors attending the exhibition, “There is always a surprise at our booth. We encourage visitors to bring their current procurement needs and development requirements. We look forward to hearing about new applications and challenges from customers—because that is where we can serve them best.”
Spectra Plast will be exhibiting at IntraPac India 2025 from 10 to 13 December at IEML, Greater Noida. Visitors can expect to explore the latest innovations in conveyor components, customized solutions, and value-driven engineering.
