India International Dairy Expo – Highlights of Day 1

The special edition of India's leading trade fair on dairy & dairy technology – India International Dairy Expo (IIDE) is back with a promise to bring the Indian and international dairy community together to grow, discover and connect.​

Koelnmesse YA Tradefair, an Indian subsidiary of one of the world's leading trade fair organizers Koelnmesse GmbH, organized the special edition of India International Dairy Expo (IIDE) in association with the Indian Dairy Association (IDA) from 13 to 15 April at Bombay Exhibition Center (NESCO), Goregaon, Mumbai. After two crucial years of the COVID-19 pandemic, this exhibition is taking place physically for three days.

Over the years, India International Dairy Expo (IIDE) has become a most sought-after platform for dairy professionals in India and the neighboring countries, covering the entire spectrum of the dairy industry. This special edition lets you explore innovative products, witness new technology, discuss recent trends, exchange ideas, and more.

Minister Sunil Kedar inaugurates the special edition

Sunil Chhatrapal Kedar, Hon'ble Cabinet minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Sports & Youth Welfare, Maharashtra, along with other dignitaries including Shri Meenesh Shah Chairman, National Dairy Development Board, Anand, Gujarat, Dr G.S. Rajorhia President, Indian Dairy Association, New Delhi, and Shri Arun Patil Chairman, Indian Dairy Association (West Zone), Mumbai inaugurated the special edition of IIDE.

VIP Tour

The VIP tour was held post the inauguration ceremony. The respected dignitaries took a round of the exhibition area and had candid conversations with exhibitors to understand and analyze the nitty-gritty of the industry.

Indian Dairy Association (West Zone) – National Seminar on Ideate. Innovate. Succeed

India's apex body of the Dairy Industry, the Indian Dairy Association (IDA) organized a National Seminar on 13 April on a theme, ' Ideate. Innovate. Succeed.' While addressing a National Seminar organized by the Indian Dairy Association, Shri Kedar, said, " The dairy sector's significance to the Indian economy cannot be underestimated. It is a subtle indicator of a healthy economy. Looking at the perishability of dairy products, the Dairy industry must always embrace change and constantly adapt itself to the changing technologies as well because it's only then that we'll be able to achieve the desired result."

The minister exhorted the dairy industry in general and Maharashtra to adopt new ideas and the latest technologies and march on the path of grand success. He also asked the industry to hire the best professionals and, if needed, take the guidance & help from the organizations like NDDB and IDA.

The IDA seminar included technical presentations focussing on the growth of dairy industry, latest ideas & innovations in milk production, milk processing, packaging, distribution, value-added milk products, animal breeding & nutrition.

Paresh Limbochiya, Dy. Dario Bruno, area sales manager, Weightpack, has very high expectations from the IIDE trade show. He adds, "Our expectations for the trade show are very high, especially after a critical time such as Covid-19. We missed the opportunity to get in touch with other people, and this kind of show is the right one to start again. We hope to meet many people to exchange ideas with and let them discover how incredible Weightpack's world is."

Chandrajitsinh Gohil, Vice President of Sales and Operations, IndiFOSS, mentions expectations from IIDE, "Though we did adapt to the requirements of the new normal, the Indian diaspora has always been high on EQ. The personal connect, hands-on experience of feeling the product and hosting our business partners in person has been an important aspect of our organizational outlook. IIDE provides a platform to re-iterate all these and more."

Inder Laleja, AGM of Sales and Marketing, Amcor Flexibles India (Visitor) expressed, "The exhibition has brought industry giants and new manufacturers under one roof. We are looking for possible connections in the packaging domain. We came to review the exhibition to exhibit next year. The companies have displayed really good machinery on the show floor."
