CASMB and QCI come together to organize talks on “Focus on food safety- from Farm to Plate, Make Food Safe” at Annapoorna - ANUFOOD India 2022

Quality Council of India (QCI) is a national body for accreditation and it contributes to society through the pursuit of training, education, learning, and garnering awareness at the highest international levels. On 15 September, the QCI organized two talks highlighting the Focus on food safety- from Farm to Plate, Make Food Safe at Annapoorna- ANUFOOD India, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The national-level seminar was organized on the 2nd Day of the exhibition, by the Chamber for Advancement of Small and Medium Businesses (CASMB) and Quality Control of India (QCI).

Manish Pande, director head of Quality Council India (QCI), and PAD Division spoke on “Ensuring Food Safety at Farm to Fork Solutions by leveraging conformity assessment frameworks". His talk elaborated on the certification under the Quality Council of India to ensure safety from Farm to Fork along with challenges faced in various industries for implementing compliance.

Another session on "Role of conformity Assessment and Accreditation in Food Safety and Nutrition” was delivered by Varsha Mishra, deputy director, NACB, and QCI. She mentioned that conformity tools, accreditation bodies, evaluations & certifications are very essential for building confidence, trust, and assurance in consumers.
