Azelis upgrades its technical capabilities at four application and formulation laboratories in the UK

FoodTechBiz Desk

Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, is proud to announce the reopening of four application and formulation laboratories in the UK, dedicated to the Personal Care, Home Care & Industrial Cleaning, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare, and Food & Nutrition markets. With all four laboratories located under one ceiling, Azelis’ market-driven lab teams can now more easily share knowledge and drive cross-fertilization innovation for customers.

The upgrade of Azelis’ laboratories includes household machinery for application simulation, testing and processing equipment for formulation development for the food and nutraceutical markets, as well as cycle testing and improved prototyping capabilities. Additionally, room has been made to facilitate co-creation, demonstrations, and training sessions with customers, both live and remotely.

Underpinning Azelis’ leadership in the industry, the upgraded laboratories set new standards for excellence and customer service, providing greater collaboration possibilities and flexibility, speeding up the development process of innovative and sustainable formulations, and accelerating the overall time to market for customers.

Charles Hawley, managing director Azelis UK & Ireland, comments, “We are excited to unveil our newly refurbished laboratories in Hertford, UK, where we have been continuously developing our innovation activities since moving here in 1997. Our team will excel in delivering sales, marketing and technical support to ensure customers’ success. We are highly committed to our external partners, and with this investment we bring the best out of our principals’ products to deliver trendsetting, sustainable innovations to customers in the UK and across the EMEA region – tried and tested.”

Matthias Hofmann, Azelis Group innovation director, adds, “We are driven by innovation, and our upgraded laboratories are yet another testament to that. With modern lab technology and improved facilities, our customers will be able to benefit from even more innovative and sustainable formulations. All this is based on an extensive portfolio developed with blue-chip principals with whom we have trusted, long-standing relationships. As part of Azelis' strategy to expand its innovation capabilities, we look forward to what our highly skilled, technical teams will deliver in these upgraded laboratories.”
