Kerry, a global leader in science-backed taste and nutrition solutions, is proud to announce a significant investment in its coffee business with the acquisition of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This expansion marks a pivotal step in Kerry’s strategy to advance coffee extraction technology and meet rising global demand for natural, high-quality coffee flavors and ingredients.
The new facility will specialize in coffee roasting and extraction, enabling Kerry to deliver a broader range of coffee solutions across a variety of applications including, but not limited to, beverage, dairy, and foodservice. With advanced extraction capabilities and upgraded roasting and packaging assets, the site will serve as a cornerstone for Kerry’s innovation pipeline and operational excellence in coffee.
“This investment is about more than expanding our footprint—it’s about transforming how we serve our customers,” said John Cahalane, President and CEO of Kerry North America. “We’re leveraging cutting-edge technologies to deliver sustainable, differentiated coffee ingredients that meet evolving consumer preferences and support our customers’ growth ambitions.”
During a recent visit to Kerry’s Global Innovation Centre in Naas, Ireland, Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Community and Economic Development Rick Siger met with Kerry’s executive team and CEO of Kerry Group, Edmond Scanlon and toured the Naas facility. The visit provided an opportunity for the team from Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to learn more about Kerry’s commitment to growth and their leadership and ambition in sustainable nutrition
“A leading global company like Kerry could have chosen to expand anywhere, and we are thrilled that they chose Pennsylvania,” said Secretary Siger. “The Shapiro Administration is working hard to attract international business and industry to the Commonwealth as we help drive manufacturing and food production around the world. Kerry’s facility in Bethlehem will spur further economic development in Pennsylvania and provide excellent career opportunities for people in Northampton County.”
This investment reflects Kerry’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer partnership. By enhancing its coffee manufacturing capabilities, Kerry is positioned to deliver greater value, speed, and flexibility to customers across North America and beyond.
