Nestlé & Starbucks expand At-Home range with Starbucks Signature Chocolate

FoodTechBiz Desk

Nestlé and Starbucks announced the launch of Starbucks Signature Chocolate, expanding the companies' At-Home range. As of September 2021, the hot chocolates will be available in selected UK supermarkets and online.

Nestlé and Starbucks continue to work closely together to develop new, innovative products and go-to-market strategies that will amplify the reach and expand the unique experience of the Starbucks brand globally.

The new range of Starbucks Signature Chocolate consists of two varieties. It can be mixed with warm milk or dairy alternatives, including:

  • Starbucks Signature Chocolate 42% - a blend of cocoa beans that deliver a velvety and smooth chocolate taste;

  • Starbucks Signature Chocolate Salted Caramel - hot chocolate made with high-quality cocoa layered with a delectable salted caramel flavor for caramel lovers.

"We are very excited to launch these new additions under the iconic Starbucks brand to be enjoyed at home. These delicious indulgent-tasting hot chocolates are made with high-quality cocoa certified by Rainforest Alliance, and we are confident they will be a big hit not only amongst Starbucks lovers." says Kelly Fleetwood, brand manager at Nestlé UK.

The products will be available in Sainsbury's from 12th September and in Asda from 18th September and online.

The launch of Starbucks Signature Chocolate adds to the range of products that Nestlé and Starbucks have successfully built over the past three years through the Global Coffee Alliance.

Since forming the Global Coffee Alliance in 2018, Nestlé and Starbucks have brought to market a wide range of premium coffee products at a fast pace - including whole bean coffees, premium instant/soluble coffees, roast and ground coffees as well as the Starbucks capsules developed using Nespresso and Nescafé Dolce Gusto proprietary coffee and system technologies.
